Book Island 島讀書店 & Penang City Eye 城视报

“Book Island” — where books form an island, a land of reading and reflection. An independent Chinese bookstore in Penang, focusing on local studies, history, and the humanities, along with exclusive cultural, art, and lifestyle magazines from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
First published in May 2014, this periodical magazine was created for the city folks of George Town, Penang. Published mainly in Mandarin with some English content, it is distributed free of charge.
Ombak Potehi 破浪布袋戲
Ombak Potehi is a unit under Ombak-Ombak ARTStudio, founded in 2015 by Dr. Tan Sooi Beng, Professor of Ethnomusicology at Universiti Sains Malaysia. It was established with the aim of promoting the arts through performances, festivals, exhibitions, and workshops.

Established in 2018, Ruang Kongsi came from the idea of kongsi (sharing) and ruang (space). Formerly located opposite USM in Penang, the collectively-run space for social activities and community artists is also home to a community library.
FuMing Incense 福明香道
Founded by Incense Artisan Wong Kem Beng who are passionate to use spices and sacred woods that found in Malaysia rain forest to blend into his incense formula. His is study in depth into many history books that mentioned about the greatest era during Maritime history. He also combining the skill of ancient incense craftsmanship and technology to make the incense into another dimension.
Kraak Creations
Founded by Ben Rongen, a Penang-based Australian-raised Dutch with a passion for historic porcelain and its hand painted motives. Kraak Creations is a boutique jewellery studio specializing in ethically turning artefacts from ancient shipwrecks into fashion accessories and jewellery.
Hours Open to public every day from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free.
