【逆境中的绽放——用画笔书写人生的可能性】 BLOSSOMING: Painting the Possibilities of Life
1959年生于槟城客家家庭的曾丽珍，本是优雅从容地行走于人生中段的她，却在四十余岁时被一纸帕金森综合症的诊断改写了生命轨迹。在告别职业生涯的沉寂时光里，她的身体日渐失控，然而家人的陪伴与鼓励成为她重新审视自我价值的契机；画布与颜料，则成为她与世界对话的新语言。
每一次颤抖的笔触，都是对命运的反抗；每一抹斑斓的色彩，都是内心不屈的呐喊。曾丽珍将情绪、思考与生命体悟融入画作，在创作中找到超越身体局限的自由，让艺术成为她与病症共存的最美方式。
《逆境中的绽放》标志着曾丽珍女士首次向公众展示个人画作的重要时刻。展览特别选择在世界帕金森日（4月11日）前夕开幕，旨在唤起社会对帕金森症的关注与理解，激发更多人对这一疾病的关注，增强对患者生活状态的共鸣和支持。 曾丽珍女士用双眼捕捉世界，用双手创造美学，展现出一个即使身陷困境，依然能在艺术中寻找诗意与美的灵魂。她的每一幅画作都传递着“身体或许受限，心灵却能翱翔”的生命真谛，向人们证明即使在最黑暗的时刻，人的精神也能像花朵般坚韧地绽放。
Madam Chen, born in 1959 into a Hakka family in Penang, once lived gracefully through the middle years of her life. However, in her forties, a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease dramatically altered the course of her journey. As she transitioned away from her career, her body gradually lost control. Yet, it was the unwavering support and encouragement from her family that prompted her to reconsider her self-worth. The canvas and paintbrush became her new language for communicating with the world. Each trembling stroke of the brush is a defiance against fate; every vibrant splash of color is an unyielding cry of the spirit. Madam Chen channeled her emotions, reflections, and life experiences into her artwork, finding freedom beyond her physical limitations. Through her art, she found a beautiful way to coexist with her illness.
BLOSSOMING marks Madam Chen’s first public exhibition. The exhibition is especially timed to open just before World Parkinson’s Day (April 11), aiming to raise awareness and understanding of Parkinson's disease. It seeks to inspire greater attention to this condition, fostering empathy and support for those living with it.
Through her eyes, Madam Chen perceives the world; with her hands, she brings beauty to life. Her work reveals a soul that, even in the face of adversity, continues to find poetry and beauty within the art. Each piece conveys the message: “Though the body may be limited, the spirit can still soar.” She proves to the world that even in the darkest moments, the human spirit can bloom with resilience, like a flower in full bloom.
