After a long hiatus, we are back to celebrate 15 years of ZAP friendships, good vibes and tunes.
We are thrilled to be inviting some very special friends from abroad to join us for this special occasion.
Headlining the event, Moopie (@moopiedaily) is a legend in the Melbourne underground music scene. His genre-blending sets are a journey through time, connecting different eras of electronic music and pushing forward unreleased cuts alongside timeless tracks. Moopie comes to us after his European tour which included playing at Lost Village (UK) and the legendary Panorama Bar (Berlin) - this is one not to be missed.
Jess Sneddon (@jesssned) is a DJ with a passion for exploring the intersections of synth-pop, shoegaze, Italo, ambient and underground electronic sounds. Jess' music knowledge which spans across so many genres, makes her sets thoughtful but also daring; playing forgotten classics interwinded with weird B-Sides. Be ready to get serious, silly and weird.
We wouldn't have rounded up our main acts without Alvin Neoh (@tupperware.noise), co-founder of ZAP and now big boss of @narrowmarrow. A Penang underground music scene legend from his early days playing for Whitelight to playing for @comabandpg, Alvin brings his solo live electronic noise set under his alias Tupperware.
ZAP Gentle Friend DJs (@kingstonlys, @ernestzacharevic and @dtew23) will be on support on Saturday night with our Australian friends @hen_ham @followyourmart and @___alexmak___ supporting on Sunday afternoon.
REUNION starts on Saturday night (27th, 8pm) at @cultprint followed by a Sunday chill out session on Sunday afternoon (28th, 1pm) at @coex_kilangbesi with a live mural painting by KL streetart legend @drewfunk.
