THE GOOD CHEF Bon & Shewei from Rembar

About Rembar: Rembar is a modern Southeast Asian restaurant and bar in the heart of George Town, Penang. Founded by passionate couple Shewei and Bon, Rembar is the result of their shared love for food, drinks, and hospitality. After working together at Singapore’s iconic Atlas Bar, Shewei went on to explore the world of gin at Brass Lion Distillery, while Bon honed his culinary skills at Laut. Now, they’ve brought their talents to Penang, blending Shewei’s cocktail magic with Bon’s creative Southeast Asian cuisine. At Rembar, guests can look forward to bold flavors, innovative cocktails, sourced local produces and a welcoming atmosphere.

THE GOOD BARTENDER Justin Yow from Good Friend Club

About Good Friends Club: A vibrant neighbourhood cocktail bar in Georgetown, Penang, located beside the creative grounds of Hin Bus Depot, and also the organizer of The Good Project. They craft meaningful experiences by showcasing local produce and spreading positivity through their signature Good Friends hospitality.

With their menu Good Friends Mart, they work closely with farmers and producers across Penang & northern Malaysia, sourcing around 85% of ingredients from small-scale local farms. They believe that great drinks start with good people and good produce.
