Natural disasters, wars, and violence seem to be everywhere. What’s even more heartbreaking is that this imbalance has reached our young generation — with rising cases of bullying, aggression, and despair.

It truly pains us to see how far we’ve drifted from peace and balance. When humanity drifts away from nature, we lose our inner harmony as well. Our connection with nature is deeply tied to our happiness, emotional well-being, and sense of meaning in life. As nature is destroyed, our stress grows, the land becomes barren, food loses its vitality, and even the foundation of our lives begins to crumble.

All of this is a constant reminder — " It’s time to return to nature "

This time, we are deeply honored to invite two very special guests from Pun Pun Organic Farm & Learning Center, Thailand — Jon Jandai and Peggy.

For over 20 years, Pun Pun has been leading in seed saving, earthen home building, and sustainable community living. Jon and Peggy have built a self-sufficient organic community of 10 families, and they also homeschool their children , choosing to raise them through a lifestyle of simplicity and connection.

Great things start small, but they grow when you keep your aspiration clear .

And when the things you do are good not just for yourself, kindness spreads, good actions return in unexpected ways.

We see this happening in many new “village community projects", not the old stereotype of being “primitive”, but a kind of community where certain things truly require a whole village, yet everyone still retains their independence.

This Friday Sharing, we had Hoy Yee & Pop from Project MARS (Balik Pulau, Penang), and Jon Jandai & Peggy from Pun Pun Organic Farm (Chiang Mai) sharing their journeys.

Seed is power.

In the past, we could eat over a hundred kinds of vegetables; now many of us are limited to less than ten. What we eat is decided by the market : whichever crop grows fast & brings the most profit. We are further and further away from real food, also from the real ecosystem that supports us.

Children’s education just like another seed — a seed of the future. And how you raise them reflects how you nurture every relationship around you. If you believe in equal voices regardless of age, then a de-hierarchical way of living can build a community that trusts each person’s ability.

Saving a seed is never just about agriculture, it is about protecting choices, creating freedom, and giving the next generation something richer to inherit.

This also brought us back to the earlier talk series initiated by Grow Community Market during Earth Festival, because whenever we asked the speakers for their final words to the audience, the answer was always the same: “start planting something at your house.”
