由摄影师Howard Tan带来的《众生相》展览，以人物照片为创作主调，其中又以在跳蚤市场搜罗到的60，70 年代马来亚时期的黑白照片为多。创作人本身非常喜欢这些旧时代照片的独特趣味和故事性。那些人物造型，动作，装饰品，背景等等都颇有玩味，尤其是结婚照。于是就用自己的方式来把它们剪开来，再加入一些不同的新元素来颠覆那一个时代。
The “Portrait” exhibition is focusing on a selection of artwork by Howard that is based on the black and white portrait photographs from the 60s, 70s period that he has collected from all over Malaysia, in places such as flea market or antique shop. Howard finds these photographs fascinating, he loves the sense of dressing and postures of the people, decoration and backdrop etc.
A mixed medium is used for this series of artwork, including old newspaper and labels, stained pages and objects cut out from book and acrylic paints.
