隨著國家發展步伐越快速，地方文化越容易遭受忽視，甚至也會因為過度發展而導致珍貴的有形與無形文化資產逐漸被社會淘汰。儘管如此，總是有一群熱愛藝文的個體，願意挺身而出以自身的經歷投身在保護以及傳承這些即將被遺忘的文化。
今年火箭人實驗室與檳城方將攜手揪出兩地的藝文以及傳統文化工作者，一起面對面分交流享經營藝文事業的酸甜苦辣。
為什麼登陸檳城？
檳城喬治市自開港以來便是個國際文化大門，因自由貿易港關係成為了當時東南亞屈指可數的文化融合樞紐。有趣的是，檳城也曾經出現過風靡當代的月琴街頭藝人，他就是上一代檳城人廣為人知的陳同同先生。陳先生他說得一口流利的福建話，帶著一把月琴以及他那一副稍帶沙啞的嗓音在街頭上以唱民謠，做占卜賣藝。他曾經豐富了閩南人的精神生活，讓大家在物質貧乏的年代里，得到了莫大的娛樂享受。陳同同走街串戶的身影和他彈撥琴弦唱將起來的嗓音以及幽默有趣的歌詞，是上世紀檳城華人事跡中一個不可抹滅的有機部份。
檳城與恆春皆是文化的大熔爐，承載了豐富的文化底蘊。而Taiwan LAUNCHER將成為台灣民謠音樂與國際連結發射站，未來火箭人將會登陸更多的地方，讓台灣民謠可以以新姿態呈現給世界。
As the pace of national development accelerates, local cultures are more easily neglected and even face the risk of being gradually eliminated due to excessive development, causing the loss of valuable tangible and intangible cultural assets. However, there is always a group of individuals who are passionate about the arts and culture and willing to step forward and use their own experiences to engage in the protection and preservation of these soon-to-be-forgotten cultures.
Thus, Launcher Lab and the Penang team will join hands to gather artists and traditional cultural practitioners from both Taiwan and Malaysia. Together, they will be sharing the bittersweet experiences of managing art and cultural businesses.
