Taiwan LAUNCHER 是一場台灣閩南語歌謠以及南洋民俗音樂的交流活動。這場音樂會兩地均以「老調新聲」為核心，彰顯了不同文化生活的樣貌，同時也體現了當代族群融合的美好景象。台灣團隊嘗試在恆春半島閩南語古調中，加入現代流行音樂元素，把過去的老聲音與曲調改作，轉變為具有古詞韻味且與能當代溝通的創作；馬來西亞團隊則以不同族群的傳統樂器，嘗試通過音樂樸實的反映馬來西亞的多元民風。
為什麼登陸檳城？
檳城喬治市自開港以來便是個國際文化大門，因自由貿易港關係成為了當時東南亞屈指可數的文化融合樞紐。有趣的是，檳城也曾經出現過風靡當代的月琴街頭藝人，他就是上一代檳城人廣為人知的陳同同先生。陳先生他說得一口流利的福建話，帶著一把月琴以及他那一副稍帶沙啞的嗓音在街頭上以唱民謠，做占卜賣藝。他曾經豐富了閩南人的精神生活，讓大家在物質貧乏的年代里，得到了莫大的娛樂享受。陳同同走街串戶的身影和他彈撥琴弦唱將起來的嗓音以及幽默有趣的歌詞，是上世紀檳城華人事跡中一個不可抹滅的有機部份。
檳城與恆春皆是文化的大熔爐，承載了豐富的文化底蘊。而Taiwan LAUNCHER將成為台灣民謠音樂與國際連結發射站，未來火箭人將會登陸更多的地方，讓台灣民謠可以以新姿態呈現給世界。
Taiwan LAUNCHER is an exchange event that showcases the fusion of Taiwanese Hokkien folk songs and Nanyang traditional music. The core of this musical concert in both regions is the blending of "old tunes with new souls," highlighting the diverse cultural expressions of life and embodying the harmonious coexistence of contemporary ethnic groups. The Taiwanese team endeavors to incorporate elements of modern pop music into the traditional Hokkien melodies of the Hengchun Peninsula. They transform the old sounds and tunes into creative compositions that possess the charm of ancient lyrics while remaining relevant to contemporary communication. On the other hand, the Malaysian team utilizes traditional musical instruments from different ethnic groups to reflect the diverse folk traditions of Malaysia through sincere and authentic music.
