As people who live and work in the neighborhood, we may not always notice how important it is to have affordable economy rice, grocery shops, and places of worship within walking distance. These everyday places sustain the neighborhood and reflect the industries and demographics that have shaped it over time.
Tracing the streetβs history back 150 years, this walk invites participants to see the street beyond its everyday role as a road, through historical research, collected interviews, and oral histories.
After the walk, we will return to the Hin Bus Depot Gallery for an πππππππ©ππ€π£ π¬ππ‘π π©ππ§π€πͺππ. The tour will connect the observations with fieldwork materials, archival references, community memories, and zines presented in the gallery.
