Reclaimed Timber & Architecture Salvages Participants will be given an insight into the properties of timber, timber identification with some actual timber samples, and how to identify the age of reclaimed timber. Mr. Gooi will also share his knowledge and experience in the advantages of applying reclaimed timber in building design, which also contributes to the sustainability of our forest.
Towards the end of the class, there will be a sharing by Ar. Mei Chee Sing who will share his perspective as an architect who recently used reclaimed timber for their new office and COEX @ Kilang Besi (Community Experience Space).
