Following Peter Ong’s Monkey Business talk, join Bright Ong and Christine Das in a relaxed, informal setting for an open and engaging conversation on the making of PROJECT RIWAYAT.
This session offers an opportunity to hear directly from the duo as they reflect on the development of the project, from its conceptual foundations to the evolving processes behind its creation. They will also offer insights into the intentions and guiding questions that shaped the project, particularly in relation to themes of wildlife conservation, contemporary artistic practice, and the shifting ways we understand and relate to the natural world.
The conversation will open up broader reflections on storytelling, responsibility, and imagination, considering how artistic practice can respond to urgent ecological and cultural concerns, while also pointing towards possible futures.
