Writing mediums play a crucial role in shaping how thoughts are expressed. In literary creation, the concept of “tactility” is often emphasized—whether it’s the physical sensation of handwriting or the ease of revising text on electronic devices. Writers may take pride in their penmanship, crafting handwritten drafts that reflect careful observation and thought. Today, typing has become the dominant writing tool, enhancing the speed at which works circulate. However, character limits on digital platforms and paywall mechanisms have also influenced writers’ diverse strategies and creative styles.
