鄭開翔，1982年生於屏東，畢業於政治作戰學校藝術系和屏東大學視覺藝術研究所。曾在軍中服役十年，2015年退伍後專注於速寫、插畫和水彩創作，並倡導「用繪畫代替照相打卡」的生活態度，以溫暖色調和流暢筆觸記錄城市的美麗與變遷。 著有《街屋台灣》、《百攤台灣》、《雨港顏色》等書，作品翻譯成多國語言，並與誠品、101大樓等品牌合作。他現為城市觀察畫家、圖文作家及線上教學平台講師，並多次獲得藝術獎項與媒體報導。
Meet Artists Cheng Kai-hsiang Mimi Black under Hengchun x Penang Residency Exchange Program. He is a Taiwanese artist known for his watercolor and sketch works that capture Taiwan’s urban life and cultural heritage. After a decade in the military, he shifted fully to art, focusing on street scenes and daily moments with warm, fluid strokes. His 2019 book Street Houses of Taiwan gained wide attention and has been translated into multiple languages. Cheng has collaborated with brands like Eslite and exhibited at prominent venues, including Taoyuan International Airport.
Kai-hsiang had visited Penang two years ago, let’s look forward about how he might capture Penang’s vibrant streetscape in his signature style on his upcoming visit !
恆春 X 檳城 Workation 計畫 Hengchun x Penang Workation Exchange Programme
恆春半島的火箭人實驗室，與馬來西亞檳城的藝文團隊—— Hin Bus Depot 、 COEX 展開兩國交換Workation計畫。
每一次的交換Workation為期30天，在這些日子裡，將在馬來西亞檳城展開遠距工作、品嚐馬來西亞特色小吃、感受最在地的生活，也將有機會透過檳城在地藝文團隊Hin Bus Depot，更深入的與在地朋友互動交流，有著更多『不只是旅行』的深度體驗。
