台灣現今保存的古蹟中，以廟宇為最多，這是因為許多來自閩粵各地的移民在台灣初次落腳時，就帶來了他們原鄉的神祇。也因此從歷史悠久的古蹟廟宇中，才能真正看見台灣不同族群的信仰最為鮮明的特色。
