Open Discussion: Is It Worth Being Born into This World? —— A Philosophy of Life in the Age of Pessimism
It is a book written by Masahiro Morioka, it explores the core ideas of antinatalism and questions the value of being born. It look into the philosophical thoughts of Arthur Schopenhauer, who saw life as fundamentally filled with suffering, and suggests that the highest good is achieved through the state of “will-lessness.”
It also examines ancient Buddhist views on birth and suffering, and contrasts these with Nietzsche’s philosophy of affirming life.
